„Goddess”

I hear there’s a tendency now for ladies to refer to themselves as 'Goddess’. I believe that the direction is right and if it helps someone, it’s very good. I just want to remind you that there is and was only one Goddess – DS.

We will talk about the car today, but in the context of the captivating story of Mr. Armand, whom I had the pleasure of meeting during the recent Classic Connoisseur. The attraction of such events is that they are an opportunity to meet true enthusiasts. These, in turn, turn out to be people of flesh and blood, whom you can freely approach, ask about the car and find out what motivated them to make such a choice. Because, let’s face it, these are not random situations in most cases.

The mentioned Deesa was remembered by Mr. Armand from his childhood in distant lands, and later this memory remained in his heart, but not at the very top. It took years for this nice feeling to sprout and then lightning struck from the clear sky and it turned out that it is impossible to live without your own DS.

You can laugh at it or not (and it’s better not to), but we all experience such stories, and only those who have yet to experience it can doubt their truthfulness. Let them reflect on their own whether the car they have seen before aroused desire and the desire to own it or at least get closer.

Mr. Armand found his Citroen, but it took a year of intensive work on the car before the DS became a road goddess as well. Today, he openly admits that he prefers the old „Lemon” to the current BMW model for driving. Certainly DS is not a highway bullet, but perhaps with age the need for speed decreases.

I invite you to a conversation about how to find your Goddess, because it doesn’t have to be a Citroen. Let’s remember that each of us likes different things and only in this diversity lies our strength. Not in imitation.
